I’ve always found that as a skill, writing is one of the most important abilities to master and continue to master. As an aspiring professional, being able to craft an effective piece of written (or spoken) communication is as important as it is to be able to shake your manager’s hand. Here are a sample of the pieces of writing I’ve done in the past.
Home page stories
Many of the stories I’ve written have been for the Oregon State University and have been non-fiction, highlighting people of the university. Many of these stories made their way to the main web page for the university, gaining a large viewership from current and prospective students.
- Read about Matt Chin
- Read about Rhianna Johnson
- Read about Sam Kelly-Quattrocchi
SIFE
I wrote several pieces on the Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team from OSU that embarked on a nationwide tour of the U.S. to fight hunger. I also made a narrated slideshow from photos they took and edited an interview I recorded with them. The stories appeared on the Powered by Orange blog, the President’s Report and Life@OSU.
